Since the time CCDM opened its first residential facility in 1986, our goal has been to never turn anyone away due to an inability to pay. Some of the families of our residents are unable to pay the full amount due, and some of our residents have no family. In order to keep these people in our program, we depend on contributions from caring individuals and organizations.
When you choose to become a sponsor of a resident, you will receive a photograph of that person and a page of information to give you a better idea of his or her personality and interests. We invite you to develop a personal relationship with the individual you choose to sponsor. You can send cards and notes of encouragement, you may call the resident, and you may visit (prearranged with the CCDM office). If you like, you may send birthday and Christmas cards or gifts.
The level of involvement depends on you. You may even want to encourage your Sunday School class to sponsor an individual. The amount of sponsorship is yours to choose, and you will never be held to any commitment or be pressured in any way. You will receive a statement at the end of the year for use for your tax reporting.
What better way to express distinction and respect to a special person in your life or to one who has passed away, than to give a donation “In Memory Of” or “In Honor Of” that person. CCDM will be benefited and you will have shown your respect and given tribute to that very special person in your life. CCDM will send you a receipt for your gift and will notify the person or family. Please remember to provide us with the address(es) of those who should receive the acknowledgment. When giving a gift in memory or in honor of someone special, it is good to notify that person or the family.
